Arti Anand, M.B.A.In addition to serving as the Business Manager at Prognosys LLC, Ms. Anand is the director of a luxury design and print house providing a variety of custom solutions to individual and commercial clients utilizing cutting edge technology. Ms. Anand has previously worked on projects with Freddie Mac, U.S. Treasury Department, and Lehman Brothers' New York and London offices. Ms. Anand holds a BS in Finance and an MBA in Strategy from the Robert H. Smith School of Business, University of Maryland, College Park.

George Forsythe, Ph.D. Dr. Forsythe’s successful 38-year career spans his well-noted accomplishments as a Research Scientist for several major corporations including Honeywell, E.I. DuPont, and recently High Performance Materials Group and Prognosys.  Dr. Forsythe is a lead innovator in process/product development in new and emerging fields.  He holds Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from University of Arizona: Tucson, Arizona and BS, University of Oklahoma: Norman, Oklahoma.  Dr. Forsythe also holds 16 U.S. Patents and Many foreign equivalents in the fields of Textile Fibers, Ceramic Fiber products and Processes, Carbon/Carbon Composites, and Ballistic Resistant Materials.

Kenneth A. Gabriel, Ph.D.   Founder, President and CEO. Dr.  Dr. Gabriel also serves as Director, Advanced Concepts at the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department, and as Professor at the R.H. Smith School of Business at University of Maryland, College Park, MD.Prior to Prognosys launch, Dr. Gabriel served as Founder, President and CEO of High Performance Materials Group, Inc., Boothwyn, PA.  He also founded and successfully managed InterConcepts, Inc., a consulting and business incubator firm in Alexandria, VA.  Dr. Gabriel served in key technology leadership role in the Department of Defense including serving as Director, U.S. Army Research Office in Washington, DC and Deputy Director of Research, U.S. Army Pentagon, Washington, DC.

Kelley Harris, M.B.A.Kelley Harris is a biotechnology and life sciences professional, bringing 4 years experience in research and development and manufacturing and quality control systems, focusing in diagnostics. Kelley received her B.S. in Biological Sciences from the University of Maryland and is currently pursuing her M.B.A. at the Robert H. Smith School of Business. Her professional interests include entrepreneurship, business in high technology, and strategy. Kelley spent summer 2010 in Israel, with a fellowship at the Technion University focusing on business development and commercialization in high technology.

John Melngailis, Ph.D.  In addition to serving at Prognosys, Dr. Melngailis is Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering, University of Maryland Institute for Research in Electronic and Applied Physics, College Park, MD.  Dr. Melngailis is a leading authority on focused ion beam fabrication of nanotechnology materials and devices.  His engineering interests are also on novel RFID and surface acoustic wave devices.  Professor Melngialis is Fellow and member of American Society of Physics and American Vacuum Society.  He received his Ph.D. in Physics from Carnegie-Mellon University and served at MIT Lincoln Laboratory.

Aswani Valiveti, Ph.D.Aswani holds graduate degrees in Biochemistry and Molecular and Cell Biology with a 3-year postdoctoral experience in Neuroscience. As an MBA student, Aswani's interests lie in technology commercialization, competitive intelligence and human capital/ change management. Aswani is currently pursuing his MBA at the Robert. H. Smith School of Business.
